You can pluck two strings at a time. Usually string 5 or 6 is plucked with the thumb following the routine you have practied and at the same time 1 or 2 is struck with the middle finger.

| Step1 - Form a C chord as in the first lesson. Start your lick by plucking string 2 (B) as you start and at the same time as you pluck string 5 with you thumb. If you wish to continue the middle has to start by hitting string 2 immediately after hitting string 3.
